The last picnic of summer, on Labor Day, was spent with good friends at Evanston Beach. I can still smell the charcoal grills cooking chicken and hot dogs. Loved the salads. And the desserts! My childhood friend Sarah joined us this year. Caught up with all the latest news. Henry is starting to look at colleges to attend. Linda is having knee surgery. Barry shared some beautiful photos he shot. And on and on… Ellie did a great job again of organizing as well as securing 4 tables for the perfect late afternoon time to assure we could watch the sun go down and just listen to Lake Michigan as it calmly drifted into darkness.  Such a special time.
